Yarnell is one of those small Arizona towns that many people pass through to go somewhere else. It is located on Hiway 89 about 40 miles southwest of Prescott. The reason why I have a special fondness for it is that it was the first town I ever visited in Arizona, and the first place I experienced the energy of the Colorado Plateau. Ther are a number of interesting place to visit, not least the Kokopelli Trading Company located on the main street, which sells Art and Antiques, and also has a beatiful garden in which you can buy something nice to eat or drink.
